What Is He Thinking?

Okay, he says it's not about him. That's what he needs to realize! It's not about him, not about politics, not about the government, so WHY IS THE GOVERNMENT TRYING TO RUN OUR HEALTHCARE?!?!? There is much at stake here, but seeing as how he lets the government fund the murder of innocent babies, I guess that doesn't matter.

Breaking America's economy?!?!? Look. Trying to spend your way out of debt is breaking the economy. Maybe it looks "good" in the short term, but America is not a short term country. We've been around for 233 years.

Lives at stake? Try the lives at stake when children are aborted, try the lives at stake when you threaten to close Gitmo.

Big government is not the answer, no matter what. Socialism is not the answer.

Competition? You mean competition among Grannies over who gets to live?

It will lead to greater competition, choice, savings, and inefficiencies?!?!?!?

It will save me and my family money? But don't we have to raise taxes to pay for this, or did I miss something?

Do it in a way that does not add to our deficits over the next decade? Well, even if that's true, which I doubt, you said "over the next decade". Do you expect us to keep going with your ideals after you're gone or are you planning to stay another decade? Because I know a bunch of people who don't plan on re-electing you.

Over the long run? What does anyone in Congress or anywhere know about "the long run"? You passed the stimulus (not to be confused with having read it).

"We always knew passing healthcare reform wouldn't be easy. We always knew that doing what's right would be hard." I agree with the second sentence. We always knew doing what's right (as opposed to left) would be hard. But we're going to do it, or die trying.

A tendency towards inertia? You bet! It goes like this: government, control, power, money, spend, devalue, debt, government, control, power, money, spend, devalue, debt... doing what is right is hard, but let's break the cycle.

"We're a country that chooses the harder right over the easier wrong." Doesn't he mean the easier left?

Do that once more. Once more, because we'll never get the chance to do what's left again if we do. No. Let's do what's RIGHT, and keep doing it, not once more, but many times more. I believe in America (as opposed to apologizing for it).

By the end of this year? That's how long we've got to make it right. We do need to "stop Obama on this", because even though he claims it's not about him, he's one of the main ones DOING it. So, if it must be stopped, he must be stopped on this.

Delivering a better future? How about delivering babies, since they are members of the future? How about not passing stimulus bills I'm going to pay for? THAT would be delivering a better future. It's up to us to found that future.
